Each February, the New York Pet Fashion Show, the largest pet fashion and animal rescue benefit in the country, kicks off New York Fashion Week and the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Not only is this a fun runway event for dogs, but it’s also a fundraiser for the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals with a portion of the event's proceeds donated to the organization.
Co-chaired by pet fashion designer Ada Nieves and publisher and public relations professional Gregg Oehler, the New York Pet Fashion Show is home to themed costume runway shows featuring rescue dogs looking for homes and other dogs walking the catwalk. The evening includes A Best in Show award for the best costume along with the Golden Paw Awards presentation to honor those people and industry organizations who make a difference helping our four legged friends.

About the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals
The Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity that works with more than 150 partner rescue groups and shelters to offer important programs and services that save the lives of NYC's homeless animals. We are supported entirely by donations from foundations, corporations, and individuals and receive no government funding. Since our founding in 2003, we have remained committed to transforming New York City into a community where no dogs or cats of reasonable health and temperament will be killed merely because they do not have homes. The Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals is committed to seeing the day when no New York City dog or cat of reasonable health and temperament is killed merely because he or she does not have a home.
